This is a poster I designed for my Advanced InDesign class.
We were told to pick our favorite art movement or period
and make a poster with an infographic of some sort
on the backside.
I chose the DADA movement because of its radical and subversive approach to art, which I love. I am interested in exploring avant-garde movements that challenge established norms, question authority, and reject traditional artistic conventions, so working on this was quite a lot of fun.

My boyfriend and I were dancing in his room one night and he accidentally bonked his head on his desk. After a couple of minutes of infinite laughter, he said "It may just be the price of a good boogie" holding an ice pack to his head. That phrase was stuck in my brain along with that moment, so I designed this little poster to commemorate one of my fondest memories.
Banned Book Week 2023

This is a poster I designed for my Advanced Typography and Layout class. The theme was "Banned Book Week" and we were required to choose a book that had been banned by a school, school district, etc., and make a poster about it that stood out, drew people's attention, and encompassed why the book was banned and why it shouldn't be banned. No elements were allowed, meaning we couldn't use vector art or images only typography. Also, our color palette was assigned to us.
I chose the English Dictionary since it was banned by a California
school district for having the words "Oral sex" in it. I decided this was
not only ridiculous but also an amazing opportunity for a poster that would indeed stand out.
